Group/Employer Alabama & Indiana Health Insurance Coverage

Change Health Insurance Company – With this choice, they’ll be a minimal impact on employees and there’s a potential to save while still receiving the same benefits. A couple of drawbacks are that employees may need to switch doctors and the savings are typically only minor and in some cases only temporary.
Reduce Plan Benefits – This has the potential to lower premiums. However, employees may view this as a financial setback and employee morale may suffer as a result.
Redirecting & Supplement – This is where we increase deductibles and co-insurance but include products that help pay for these things in the event of an illness or accident. Many times employees are happy with these arrangements because when used correctly they can lower overall out of pocket cost. Employers are happy because it reduces overall premium cost. These plans must be communicated effectively. Without proper education and support the plans can be seen as a negative because of the higher deductibles on the health plan itself.
Utilize the Individual Market – Depending on the average employee’s adjusted gross income sometimes ending group coverage and directing employees to the Alabama & Indiana health insurance individual market can be a great choice. For lower to middle-income employees the price of an individual can be much lower than the price of a group policy and the options for plan coverage can be much greater. Even greater savings can be realized if the employer offers a small raise to employees entering the individual market. However, for individuals with incomes above 400% of the federal poverty line savings are rarely seen in the individual market making this option a bad choice for higher paid employees.
